I’ll always remember, as a Make-A-Wish volunteer, meeting Wish kids for the first time and learning more about their hopes and dreams and wishes. I’ll always remember, as a Make-A-Wish employee, collaborating with a team to make sure those wishes became a reality.
I’ll always remember, as a teacher, working with Darryl and Ciera and feeling my heart soar when they had those “a-ha” moments in math or writing or learning how to be a better friend. I’ll always remember, as a Kids Hope volunteer, my special times with Leah, Maxwell, Nehemiah, and Jasmene.
I’ll always remember, as the Executive Director of Neighbors Plus, walking alongside so many families and students. Throughout the years, I’ve learned that we all need someone in our corner from time to time, and it has been my honor and privilege to share that corner with others.
What I didn’t expect with these “I’ll always remember” moments is how much I would carry these moments and memories in my heart – what a great honor!
I’m making another “I’ll always remember” moment as I joyfully take on the position of Executive Director of Family Hope Foundation.
Hello, friends—my name is Jennifer Roudebush, and I could not be more excited to meet you! As Jane hands me the reins and steps into her new role as Development Director, I am eager to get started, excited to hear the stories of the families I’ll come to know, and thrilled to become part of such an inspiring organization whose goal is to invest in the success of others.
I’m excited to help provide hope to families, knowing full well the people I’ll meet along the way will provide even more hope and encouragement to me. I can’t wait to meet each and every one of you!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Roudebush Executive Director
P.s. Although we weren’t part of the selection process, we were able to have coffee with the final candidates. With Jen, the fit was natural right out of the gate. There was an instant connection. As we talked, it was clear to us that she was someone special. We could easily envision a bright future for Family Hope Foundation with her leading our organization. Jen brings experience and passion to our team—the kind that is contagious and stems from investing in others’ ability. She advocates for everything our mission stands for. We’re so excited to see the organization continue to flourish in new ways. Welcome to the Family Hope Foundation family, Jen!
A diagnosis of severe hydrocephalus at 20 weeks gestation meant Jackson’s parents faced many unknowns before he was born. Hydrocephalus is a condition where there is an excessive buildup of fluid inside the brain. Critical medical decisions would be necessary immediately after his birth. You may have heard John Burroughs’s phrase, “Leap, and the net will appear.” Well, on February 29, 2020, Leo quite literally made his “leap” into the world—a leap year baby. And it wasn’t long before the “net” became important to Leo and his parents. Despite a perfect full-term pregnancy, Leo’s parents and medical staff immediately […]
At Family Hope Foundation, hope is who we are, and our hope this Giving Tuesday season is to collect and spread KINDNESS. KINDNESS is free—something everyone can afford and something everyone needs.
We have an ask—over these next 10 weeks, we’d like YOU to help us spread the gift of KINDNESS. There are approximately 70 days until Giving Tuesday. It’s our goal to fill our KINDNESS Meter with YOUR stories or acts of KINDNESS.
